Following a series of devastating earthquakes, the people of Venezuela are facing unimaginable loss, widespread destruction, and overwhelming daily challenges. These disasters have struck a nation already struggling with political instability, food insecurity, and an uncertain future.
Yet even in the midst of tragedy, God has been preparing a way to respond.
Because of your faithful prayers and generous giving over the years, Feeding The Nations has been serving in Venezuela through trusted ministry partners for the past seven years. Your support has made these relationships possible, and today those partnerships allow us to respond immediately to this crisis.
God has opened a door, and we have pre-approval through customs to bring 40-foot shipping containers of humanitarian aid into Venezuela. We believe the Lord has prepared this opportunity so that, when disaster struck, we would be ready to help.Now, because of your continued partnership, we can respond.
Our first emergency container is already packed and waiting in our warehouse for the funds needed to ship it. It contains more than 250,000 rice-protein meals that will provide life-sustaining nutrition for thousands of families.
Our immediate goal is to send three emergency containers as quickly as possible, delivering critical food and relief supplies to communities that have been devastated by the earthquakes.
Every container we send after this first shipment will also be filled with rice-protein meals, along with urgently needed hygiene supplies, cleaning products, and other essential relief items. The ocean freight alone costs more than $9,000 per container. In addition, there are customs clearance fees, inland transportation, and distribution expenses once the shipment arrives in Venezuela. Every gift makes a difference and ensures that life-saving aid reaches the families who need it most.
