Merry Christmas from FTN!
December 21, 2020
Dear Friend,
2020 What a year! A year I’m sure many are happy to see go! A year of natural disasters, unrest, financial instability, not to mention COVID which has affected everything.

But it was also a year of hope, of love, of healing. You might be thinking, “Steve, how can you say that?” I can say it because of you. You prayed, you faithfully and sacrificially gave. You gave hope to families in desperate need around the world.
Stories have come in, stories of life renewed and hope restored because of your giving.
When the pandemic closed schools in Malawi, you were there in the villages with food for families to replace the loss of food the children received at school. You answered Pastor C’s desperate plea for food and hygiene products amidst the unrest and extreme shortages in Venezuela. In Iraq, you gave food to families living in refugee camps. In Zambia you were there with food for school children. You provided clean water, food and shelter to hundreds of families displaced by the blast in Lebanon. And here, in the States, you gave food to community food pantries, to women and children fleeing domestic violence, and to the homeless. You gave hope and you gave love.
As Christmas approaches and we reflect and remember the first Christmas so many year ago, we celebrate Christ’s love for us. Jesus, the Hope of the world! We can bring His hope and His love to others. As we head towards a new year, the requests for help have not decreased, but have increased. People are desperate. The United Nations World Food Program reports that due to the “fallout” from the COVID-19 pandemic, 270 million people could be at risk of starvation before the end of the year if lifesaving assistance is not provided. Friends, we can provide that assistance! This is a humanitarian crisis reaching far beyond a virus. Can you send a gift today? In many places around the world, $100.00 can provide several families with food for a month.
We can show a hurting world the love of Christ, we can show them they are not forgotten. Together, we can bring them hope. Thank you for your prayers, and your giving. I pray you and your family are well. Have a blessed Christmas.
For the hungry,
Steve Sumrall
