The Israel Project 2008
January 2008 to December 2008
In 2007 we had the opportunity to bless 200 Israeli families with supplemental nutrition for the entire year. This year our efforts continue as we once again partner with the Jerusalem-based Christian organization, Bridges for Peace. We will adopt 200 families in four different towns, giving them nutrition, hope and reassurance for the future.
Many communities throughout the nation struggle with economic hardship, not having enough resources to adequately care for those in need, many of whom are immigrants returning to their motherland. Wanting to bless these chosen people, we will adopt families in Beit Shemesh, Kiryat Ata, Mazkeret Batya and Yazniel, and give them supplemental nourishment throughout the year.
Israel has always been near and dear to my families' hearts, having lived there at one time and having traveled back on several occasions. But beyond our personal attachments, God asks us to care for His people. In Genesis 12:3, God says to Israel, "I will bless those who bless you." Now is our opportunity to do as He asks by blessing Israel, and in return may we be blessed.
Will you join us? Will you help us adopt these families in their time of great need? Will you bless others and receive blessings in return? A gift of just $192.00 will provide a year's supplement of food. Or $96.00 will lend support for six months, and only $16.00 will give a family a month's worth of parcels.
Will you join Diane and myself in caring for Israel? Will you make 2008 a year of blessings? Please prayerfully consider your role in adopting these families and touching their hearts with God's love. Thank you for your kind heart and faithful support.
