Update: A Harvest for Haiti
We thank everyone who has made this blessing possible. As 2 Corinthians 9:10 says, "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness." Surely your store and harvest have been increased thanks to your generosity.

A Harvest For Haiti
Efforts to reach Haiti continue as 35,200 pounds of seed corn makes its way to Port-Au-Prince. We rejoice in the possibility of such a bountiful harvest that this seed can provide and pray that it will meet with fertile soil.
Since the quake first struck Port-Au-Prince earlier this year, Feeding The Nations has given over 600,000 pounds (300 tons) of much needed food, tents, water purification systems and now seed corn. Thanks to our partnership with Pioneer Seed Company, 640-55-pound bags of yellow seed corn are on their way to Haiti to reach the hungry and hurting. That is a total of 35,200 pounds of planting seed that could fill 2,000 acres and has the potential to yield 8.4 million pounds of corn.
The shipment should arrive in Port-Au-Prince around April 16 and will be given to many needy farmers and church organizations that have planting fields. We rejoice in the possibility of such a bountiful harvest that this seed can provide. We pray for fertile soil, sufficient rains and the countless people who will benefit from the harvest.
February/March 2010 Update:

Feeding The Nations has mobilized 2.5 million meals, five water purification systems and 50 family tents for earthquake-stricken Haiti. Over 500,000 pounds of rice/vegetable casserole meals, beans, rice , pasta, tomato sauce, corn, protein food bars, assorted soups, juice, applesauce, pudding and medical supplies are now arriving. Additional food is being staged for shipment. All 50 tents have arrived to be distributed through our emergency response team headed up by Tim Johnson from the Dominican Republic. But we refuse to stop there.
2.5 million meals have been collected from 12 states throughout the country. Yet, there is still far more that needs to be done.
As you know, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti Tuesday, January 12, nearly destroying its capital Port-au-Prince and affecting a third of its entire population. We immediately began gathering as many resources as possible to help Haiti through this devastating time. We pray that God will bless Haiti with the aid we have mobilized so far. But we pray that our efforts will go much further.

Thank you Feeding The Nations!
After first hearing about the desperate situation in the region of Mabriol, Haiti my first reaction was yeah alright every place in Haiti is desperate. But after time God just put it on my heart that we were supposed to really help these people of Mabriol. I had met with the UN and applied for help, but we found none. But thankfully we had just received a shipment of food on January 27, 2009, one 40 ft container of rice casserole meals from Feed My Starving Children and Feeding The Nations. This food is for our orphanages but we could not close our eyes to the hungry and wanted to give a tithe of the food given to us. The reports were coming in that 20 children had died, that the situation was bad. This was an area hard hit by the hurricanes of 2008, and after the roads were fixed we sent a first load of cereal. The reports coming back were that these people needed much more help and fast as people were dying. Pastor Jay Threadgill decided I should go along with the next trip, and take some pictures and check out what is going on. Just to get to the location was a 5 hour trip, through narrow passages, over rivers, up and over rocks. When we arrived there the people were literally running to get to our truck. The people inside the church were thanking God, saying Merci Bondye (Thank You God) Merci Bondye over and over again. I realized quickly that this wasn't one of our normal food distributions. Some of the children that showed up had no clothes, most of them had no shoes, I had never seen kids in such bad shape, the little babies didn't even make a sound, their mothers said they were too hungry to even say momma. One of our Haitian pastors that we had brought could only say "I have never seen a place like this in all of Haiti, in all of my life." If a piece of cereal would fall on the ground they would run to it, and almost want to fight each other over it. I have never in my life seen a more sad and terrible situation. There were people on their knees thanking God, and crying, and running up to me saying thank you, thank you, and thank you. These people live in a place where it is all rocks, no crops, no fruit, no animals, cut off from the world, they have food for another week, but they are starving. I just thought to myself and got emotional thanking Jesus, I have never been hungry like these people. Everywhere we went we just handed out bags of food and rice meals. People would run behind our truck for a mile just to get a handful of cereal or if they could get a bag of rice casserole meals. My heart was breaking, and I know now what Jesus meant when he was talking about seeing Him thirsty and giving Him drink, and being Hungry and giving Him food. These are the kind of people he was talking about. Thank you Feeding The Nations for caring and wanting to help the hurting and dying children of Haiti.
December 2008 Update:
On December 17, 2008, Feeding The Nations loaded another 40 ft. container filled with 270,864 vita-meals to assist Fisher's of Men Ministries' Pastor Jay Threadgill who will use the food to support several orphanages throughout Haiti.
Four Storms in Four Weeks Makes Food Scarce
In just four weeks time, four storms have hit Haiti, unleashing destructive winds and rains on the small, already struggling island nation. An estimated 1 million are homeless and 345 are dead. Ten to 15 feet of water buries some towns and agricultural land. With food scarce and cupboards empty prior to the storms, any resources that were available are now gone, leaving the people in desperate need of rice, beans, cooking oil and water. In July, Feeding the Nations supplied Haiti with 120,000 pounds of food, but now we must do more.
May 2008 Update:
Between May 21-23, 2008, FTN shipped 3 x 40 ft. containers filled with 106,423 pounds of vita-meals, assorted canned vegetables, fortified cereal, and liquid nutritional supplements. These supplies will be distributed during the Haiti Harvest 2008 Outreach the first week of July. FTN is partnering with Messianic worship leader, songwriter and artist for Integrity Music Paul Wilbur and Bishop Gaspar Anastasi of Word of Life
Outreach Headquarters in Ft. Meyers, FL for this large crusade and concert to feed both
body and soul of the precious people of Haiti.
On January 16, 2008, FTN donated to Cross International 1 x 40 ft. container of assorted food product to be distributed to the needy of Haiti.
2007 YEAR IN REVIEW
UPDATE: FTN blessed Haiti with 43,000 pounds of fortified rice/vegetable meals worth $51,000.
Answering Haiti's Prayers
Food brings sustenance and spiritual revival.
Political and economical strife have a hold on the people of Haiti. Unfortunately those who often suffer the most are the children. FTN is working alongside Haiti Arise to bring 43,000 pounds of nutritional meals to the children. Two pastors share the stories of the impact the food has made.
Pastor Jay Threadgill of Church on the Rock in Port Au Prince said the food was distributed to the children in the local schools and to families within this church. The church has a membership of around 5,000. Since the food distribution and outreaches, they have grown from between 50 and 100 to 1,500.
Pastor Alix Dupoux in Bois Neuf is providing a fourth round of meals to 300 kids. The community rejoices and praises God for the blessings that are an answer to their prayers. The pastor hopes to provide meals for the over 2,500 prisoners whose average age is 25 years old. The prison operates far beyond maximum occupancy and holds mostly political prisoners who are held with no charges filed.
