Afghanistan
January 2012 Update:
On December 19th 2011, 35 pallets of MannaPack rice and vegetable meals left the Feed My Starving Children Warehouse by semi-truck for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Reserve Air Force Base. Feeding The Nations working with the Lamia Afghan Foundation will ship the 42,000 pounds of meals through the Untied States Air Force. These meals are now in Charleston AFB, South Carolina and the next stop by air will be Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. The distribution of this food will help 1,000 children and 300 adults living in caves and small villages in the area of Bamyan province. Feeding The Nations has supplied and provided the needy in Afghanistan with 886,000 meals in 2011.
September 14, 2011 Update: 557,160 meals have now arrived in Afghanistan. We would like to thank our partners who made this happen: Feed My Starving Children, Impact Lives, the Lamia Afghan Foundation and the United States Air Force.

August 5, 2011 Update:
We serve a big God and He is more than enough to provide when we ask. When Feeding The Nations (FTN) was contacted by Lamia Afghan Foundation (LAF) about helping supply food in Afghanistan, FTN did not hesitate but wanted to cover every base. This was important to insure that our first shipment of 60,000 meals arrived safely and the food was distributed to the needy. What a great success it was! From the donation of food, to the transportation and the distribution in Afghanistan, in all areas of concern, there were no problems.
A thank you letter written by the Lamia Afghan Foundation, they asked FTN to consider sending more food before the harsh winter arrived. Since everything went so well in the first outreach, FTN decided to move forward and this time increase the total number of meals. Impact Lives did not hesitate and agreed to provide 285,000 rice/vegetable meals for Afghanistan. With the help of LAF founder Lt. Gen. USAF (Ret.) John Bradley, an application for the Denton program was submitted and approved very quickly. On August 1, the meals were delivered to the 27th Aerial Port Squadron located in Minneapolis, MN for airlift support to Afghanistan. This food will be sent to two different areas with 50% going to Kabul and 50% going to Shindad.
June 2011
Great news! The food has arrived in Afghanistan and is currently being distributed. The following is a letter received from John and Jan Bradley:
The wonderful food from Feeding The Nations and Impact Lives is being distributed by Kapisa Civil Affairs, PRTs. Hospitals and schools are receiving most to the food. We are very happy about this distribution and would like to speak with Feeding The Nations about future shipments to Afghanistan.
I hope we will have the opportunity to send more before winter begins. It is brutally cold and many, many people die during the winter months. There are many areas where people try to actually survive on grass and vegetation. It is heart-wrenching. Being cold and hungry are two things that are hard to stomach.
Very Sincerely,
John and Jan Bradley
April 2011
Feeding The Nations was contacted by The Lamia Afghan Foundation about partnering with them to provide food for the needy children and families in several remote villages in Afghanistan. This Foundation was co-founded by Lieutenant General John Bradley and his wife Jan. General Bradley is now retired from the U. S. Air Force, but while stationed in Afghanistan he saw the need first hand. The Bradleys have been in Afghanistan many times since they retired. They see their work as more than a relief effort. This aid builds trust with the Afghan people and helps the mission.
The Bradleys have used the Denton Program to move cargo via USAF military aircraft on space available bases to Afghanistan. Feeding The Nations was able to donate 60,000 meals on our first donation in April 2011. These meals will be delivered by the Special Operation teams in the remote villages of Bamyan, Kapisa, Wardak, and Parwan as they know the area and how to get the food to the needy.
Feeding The Nations has offered additional 285,000 meals as soon as this first outreach is completed and the movement is successful.
The Bradleys hope to expand the foundation work to include construction of new schools.
No one meeting John and Jan ever goes away from them unaware that they are Christian and that Christ motivates them.
