Feeding The Nations was contacted by Summit Missions International for assistance and went to work right away to provide 271,000 nutritious meals. On November 11 a forty-foot container of rice casserole meals was shipped to the Hope and Mercy Charity, a mission that has been active in Moldova for several years. The mission focuses on the Transnistrian Region of primarily Russian-speaking people. It is an isolated and unrecognized region that goes by the name Pridnestrovie. About 50-75% of this shipment will be distributed to the nine orphanages in the region. These orphanages represent approximately 1,200 children. The remaining portion of the shipment will be distributed through a network of pastors and their churches to needy saints and local villagers in need.
