2.5 million meals have been collected from 12 states throughout the country. Yet, there is still far more that needs to be done.
As you know, a 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti Tuesday, January 12, nearly destroying its capital Port-au-Prince and affecting a third of its entire population. We immediately began gathering as many resources as possible to help Haiti through this devastating time. We pray that God will bless Haiti with the aid we have mobilized so far. But we pray that our efforts will go much further.
We pray that it will be possible to send more meals, more tents and at least another
five water purification systems. But we need your help. Through your Christ-like love and generosity, it will be possible to reach the Haitians with even more assistance and as a result, show them the grace of God even during a time of great tragedy. Consider this:
$ 50.00 will provide 2,000 meals
$100.00 will provide 4,000 meals
$150.00 will provide 6,000 meals
$250.00 will provide 10,000 meals

Earthquake Destroys Haiti
Immediate Response Required
A 7.0-magnitude earthquake hit Haiti Tuesday, January 12, nearly destroying its capital Port-au-Prince and affecting a third of its entire population. This latest disaster comes just months after four powerful storms ripped through Haiti, destroying vital crops and livelihoods. As the island nation still feels the rumbling aftershocks of the horrendous quake, Feeding the Nation (FTN) springs into action, sending food, supplies and water purification systems to aid in its recovery.
With the help of partner organizations, FTN's assistance will quickly reach Haiti. Casa Grande Centro de Misiones International, a rapid response team located in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is working with FTN to buy supplies within the Dominican Republic and truck them into Haiti. The team consists of doctors, medical workers, emergency helpers and pastors. Located in Port-au-Prince, Fishers of Men International will also be receiving a portion of FTN's assistance to distribute immediately. In fact, during the first week of January the organization received 272,000 rice meals from FTN, which will be distributed to those affected by the earthquake. In addition, FTN plans to send hundreds of thousands of more meals.
Along with nutritional support, FTN will be providing portable water systems that can purify 600 gallons of water per day taken from any available water source. The result is surgical pure water—an absolute necessity since many medical centers have been destroyed by the quake. The systems can run off any power source, including a car battery and can be easily transported.
But, the amount of support is dependent upon you. To bless this nation with vital food, clean water and supplies, we need your help. So we ask, will you join us in this effort? Any amount you give will go a long way in touching this hurting country as families and individuals attempt to rebuild their homes, their jobs, their lives. Please join with us in reaching Haiti with Christ's love.
